  • Thick necks on shreddy guitars

    Besides the PC1, are there any shreddy type guitars that have a really meaty, thicker than average neck profile?

      Don't the JCF-01s have thicker neck profiles? I've never played one but have heard some comments to that extent.

        if were venturing outside Jackson:

        The older Kramer barettes and some focus models have a d profile chunk neck.

            The Mark Morton model is thicker than the PC-1.

              Most Moser Custom Shop models have fat necks.

              Guerilla Guitars have fat necks. They feel really close to the Moser necks.

                dont know if they are shreddy but old PRE-83 BCRiches had thick necks. like gibson 50's round profile necks.

                  Yes, it was based of off a very early Rhoads that Tim had in the office. The original Rhoads models were based on a Les Paul backshape, as that's what Randy liked.

                    The old Washburn Steve Stevens was HUGE (I had a USA one) and the first Fender Jeff Beck with the Lace pups had a huge one too.

                        The FB2 and FB2T Firebirds are really chunky.

                            Yamaha AES-620s have some thick necks, too. Great for those of us with larger hands.
