nah, it has normal saddles with these "tone chips" stuck in them (i thought they were rollers at first). i think they are hardend steel inserts or something.
Nice. I once owned a cheaper Ibanez but had an emergency the same day I bought it and had to sell the same day, before I ever got to plug it in at home. Sniff. I always liked the RGs. How do they compare to a Jackson or Charvel?

Oh, that's interesting. Haven't really kept up on the Ibanez trems. I know there was at least one model with piezos, though.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

My first "Metal" guitar was an RG350DX. It was awesome in everything except that when I did bends, I could literally see the frets wearing off with tiny metal pieces left behind. It was one of those very first Korean made. Very bad quality frets. By the time I sold it after about a couple of years later, almost all frets except maybe past 15th fret all had flat top. I sold it before they started pitting.
i never used the middle pup and dont know why they continue to build all gtrs with a middle pup. hurts to see all that routing and wood wasted.
