Ibanez holy shit colors

I hear if you put them under a black light they glow, can anyone prove this?

I don't understand why Ibanez picked a rosewood fretboard and sharktooth inlays for the 25th serie. Also, putting their low end floyd system on the 25th is kinda weird decision.

For me, the RG 550 have a maple neck and dots...

i think i'll stick with my 92 and 98 rg's and sabers...while i like the colors on these i cannot abide with anything other than an original edge on my ibbys for some strange reason...must be an old school thing...lol...d.m.

i am getting a pink RG. i still have an original neon yellow S from the 80s and a neon orangish-pink RG from the 80s....

I'm pretty sure that's Road Flare Red (RFR) and not nearly as overboard at the blinding pink or neon yellow. Desert Yellow looks o to me as well.

I know what you mean about a broke in neck. My RG550 is a well worn 1990.

I saw those at the GC when I was there over the weekend. They look really sharp, but are made in Indonesia.

i was in GC this weekend and they had both the pink and yellow on display, so picked them both off the stand to take a closer look and thought to myself..when did basswood get this heavy??
maybe its my memory but i remember these being alot lighter in the old days
makes me wonder if there really using basswood on these...

I would buy one of these right now...like this second....if they didn't have the cheap-ass floyd on it.....WTF are they thinking? seriously?

EDIT: NO. I wouldn't buy one right now just saw they were made in indonesia....again it begs the question....WTF IS IBANEZ THINKING?

As an owner of 2 RG550, I really don't understand Ibanez and having them made in Indo, sorry, for me Ibanez = Japan.

Anyway, if you watch your local ads, RG550 can be found for cheap. You just need to be patient!

Yeah, that or just hit the sevenstring.org forum. Pretty cool guys over there and plenty of Ibanez RG550's for sale on the classifieds.

I saw the pink one. It was so awesome it almost made me get a mullet and some spandex. It's classic 80's Ibanez and I lived it.

I had a RG550DY-M but I don't think it was this same intense yellow and I hated the maple fingerboard. The new ones are pretty sweet. I checked out the S-series (I think they used to be called Sabre series) today. I desire it, tons.
