It's actually called the Raven headstock. When I drew it, I always saw a silhouette of a bird profile. In this pic, the bird is looking right. The top of the point is the top of its head, while the "hook" is its beak....

i, too, like your reverse standard headstock. i would LOVE to order a FB with that reverse head....i just gotta stop buying production guitars!!!

Well, yeah, I think we all know how tough it is to have a newish design that people are okay with. It took me a few months before I had something that I thought would work. I'm just glad that I no longer get people asking for Jackson headstocks for builds. That's Jackson's job. Thanks for the kind words!

Some carbide tools might be worth a look when dealing with hard fretting materials.
I fabricated some scrapers from solid carbide milling inserts that work very well and have not dulled.
Helps to have diamond grinding wheels at work to fashion the radius and reliefs on the carbide.

Oh yeah, the Galaxies look awesome. That dot neck is the shit. I do like the "aero" headstock also though but the dot neck with the reverse Raven should be a winner. Nice stuff.
