Nice. I think I like the inlays too. Not a fan of the non Concorde headstock point...

If the Rhoads family is on board with this, then I'm cool. But if they're not, then it's sad that Grover would be trying to cash in on his Randy connection.

Somewhere, an FMIC lawyer just got a hard-on but doesn't know why.

I'm with ya. Just doesn't look right without the sleekness of the original headstock design.

He's not cashing in on anything. Watch the video; he makes a point to say it's not a "Randy Rhoads" guitar, but maybe something that he'd be playing now. As far as that book goes, the Rhoads family isn't on board with it, either, although I don't know why. I suspect that it's because Peter Margolis had a hand in it, and he was the one that was filming the documentary that will never see the light of day. I have the book, and as long as what's in it is fact, I'm fine with it. I haven't had the time to really get into it, but it's insanely cool from what I've looked through thus far.

I don't; the body shape is different, and Jackson only seems to threaten those that use the pinstripes. Jackson doesn't even call the limited runs a Concorde. Worst case, Grover has to change the name. I'm not sure if I like the bottom portion of the guitar, but I really like the inlays, and since I'm the resident Grover fanboy, I'm happy that he's building guitars, regardless of the shape. Here's a better representation of what it looks like; no one's getting a C&D letter over the design.

With you on that. I don't know the ins and outs with the Dime Dean guitars either but it seems odd to me. Just my opinion. For all I know the family could be happy that Dean is keeping his legend alive.
I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.

IMO, the Rhoads family is very interested in maintaining his angelic (unrealistic) persona. Randy probably gave someone the finger once. He may have even pooped. And really....Randy's sister makes Randy Rhoads wine, which is super relevant. To think that members of his family (with the exception of his mother) haven't ridden some coattails to an extent is a bit of a stretch.

As far as Dime goes, it's become a circus (this is from a friend of mine who designed the Dime crest, his grave site, and took my favorite pic of him).

I like it and yes it is very different from the original Jackson version.
                        Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I like that a lot, even more so if they make a hardtail model. I imagine that it will be prohibitively expensive however...
