me too never been a fan of the 9.5 radius. the high E always seem to fret out on big beds unless youve got high action, and it just seems so round compared to everything else i own.

Had a '76 Strat back in the day when I had naive aspirations of sounding/playing like Jimi. Then I heard Van Halen and 80's hair metal and tore my '76 a new one by having a Floyd put in, along with a Super Distortion. Miss the twangy-ness of it. Most amazing clean tone I ever heard was a pre CBS thru a tweed. Sounded so good I damned near thought about putting down my heavily gained shredders for the cleaner Strat... Damned near, anyway...

It's a big compound curve too. 9.5-14. It's really comfortable for me, my only ergonomic problem right now is that I played it for over 4 hours last night and now my fingers are fuggin pissed at me hehe.
Here's a little recording I made this morning through my Digi 11 Rack, excuse the playing and lack of imagination and production talent, I just wanted to hear the recorded tones.

Interesting. I thought Jackson/Charvel still had their machines they were using.
I should say one cnc machine that could do the compound radius on the Fender side where the production charvels were being made. I think it may have been chubtone that told us this??

I have a nice Body Glove gig bag that I bought to use for my Charvel Model 5 that will work perfectly for this as well.

I don't find the hard case excessively heavy though. It doesn't seem much heavier than the gigantic late 90's C/J hard case that held the Rhoads. I dig the old school tweed with the leather end caps too. It's timeless classy looking.GTWGITS! - RacerX
