I had a zero thension USRG20 wasnt really as into it, it seems the neck thru's are the ones that fit me best.

Got the issues I was having squared away today too so we are all good.

Man I am still in love with the 3120 I bought but this one is not as comfortable to play. The neck which i thought would grow on my is really wide. It almost feels like a BIG 7 string neck. I am torn as I went out blew money on pickups for her and really want to bond with it but its not working. Debating on looking for another 3120 and unloading this one?

Are there any other NT prestiges that had the older wizard profile this ultra profile just isn't as comfortable.

You ran into the same thing I did. If you look back in your other post here that's what I said. Too thick, too wide. And nope, all the neck-thru's have the Prestige Ultra profile unless you get an import.

Hey man It was a bit different actually the Ultra is okay its the "wizard prestige" that I dont like on the 320z if I have this correct...Ibanez uses too many names and numbers to describe shit.

I have a JPM that is okay but still not comfortable but dammit is it the most beautiful flamed neck I have ever seen.

IIRC, the JPMs have the "Viper" neck carve which was a little rounder on the back 'ala some of the 90s PG models.

I have to agree. I LOVE the Prestige's don't get me wrong there amazing guitars, and I 'd buy one, but theres something special about the older 570's that Ibanez hasn't been able to duplicate IMO.....
-Now....shut up n play yer guitar

I too am torn between the coolness of some of the newer Ibanez guitars and the sheer playability of the smaller necks on the older models.

On one hand we have here what I think is one of the coolest guitars Ibanez has ever put out, my RG2610E with it's Wizard Prestige neck:

vs. one the best feeling and playing guitars I own, my flametop RG770:

I love that RG2610 but the RG770 feels so much better.

I'm hearing you....on paper the 2610e has a better spec than the RG5xx (can't remember the model it's from the 90's) that I have. The neck and the trem feel much better than the 2610 for some reason. Still loving the 2610 though!!!
