Does it being Ash or the fact that it has S1 add to the value? I mean it's not rare by any means, but I don't think S1 was available on Standards for very long. I want it, but I want it for a fair price. I want the sellers to get a fair price for it as well. I don't want to take advantage or even seem like I'm trying to take advantage. Maybe I should just list it and see what happens.

It has literally an hour of playing time on it since 1997. I paid $850.00 for it and I think I stole it.
I just picked up tonight a 2001 Chrome Red Fender Strat Hardtail in mint condition. Totally stock except for straplocks. Chrome red is an awesome color. I just got home with it. I paid $700.00 for it and I feel really good about it.

I am going to take a family portrait tonight an post it. I have alot of new guitars. Yea, this hardtail 2001 is a beautiful guitar. Chrome Red is a very nice Fender color and pretty rare because its the first time I have ever seen it. Its also the first hardtail Fender I have ever owned.
Very different feel when compared to my 1997 Ash. Almost feels a little Tele like. It came with 10's on it though so the first order of business is to change the strings to a wimpy gauge which is what I prefer.
