Fender Strat - MIM

I don't know much about Fender Strats. My Brother saw this MIM Strat in a pawn shop for $150. He
didn't give me any details, but it looks like it is in good condition. Is $150 a good, or not so good
price for it, assuming it works fine? Thank you!

I'd say yes. The cheapest I've gotten a 2008 (upgraded model) for was $237.

Is that with case?

What year (I think the upgrades were sort of done in 2006 but not finished until 2008)?

If you don't know the year give the first few #'s of the serial number. MX????

FWIW, I bought the wife a new 1996 MIM in 1998 (old stock at Mars Music). It never got played for a long time. I hate vintage frets, MIM single coils are not supposed to be any good, it has the cheap trem block from the prior to 2006 upgrades. I started messing with it a year ago, and MY GAWD it's got the most awesome tone! Rush, Hendrix, Blackmore, does them all awesome!

I secretly ordered a bunch of upgrades for it (Callaham stuff), but haven't done the upgrades because I'm afraid I'll fuck up the awesome tone it has.

So before he starts reading forums telling him he needs to upgrade everything, tell him to use his ears first.
