Hondo 12 string

Okay fellas, most of you know I'm a bass player but recently bought a hondo 12 string to flip or learn to play.It's in nice shape and I only paid bout 20 bucks but it didnt have a nut. bought a nut and strings but sadly, i don't know what the tuning is. any help? Thanks

Primary strings are tuned EADGBE, and the first 4 secondary strings are EADG tuned an octave higher, while the remaining B and E are tuned at standard.

thanks sully! since you responded, what about a 8 string bass? i converted a 2b into a 8 string and have been tuning it half a step and the small strings tuned an octive higher, is that right?

I always thought an 8 string bass was just tuned standard and then an octave higher, but that's just an assumption.

thats what i thought. when i said half a step, i meant the small strings too. Lol the half step is cause my guitar player writes half a step so....

I wish! thats alien x or whatever that crook's name is! It is in great shape, I wanted to flip it for a c note but havnt been able to make myself sell ANY gear! lol my guitar player want to start up again, so I'm gonna give it another shot.
