Hamer Standard

Since Cheap Trick's 'Live At Budokan' came out with Rick Nielsen playing his Hamers. I have always wanted one of these.

Over the years it always got pushed to the backburner, pesky Charvels & Jacksons getting in the way!!

This year I decided to focus on seriously searching for the 'right one' for me. I found it in June. It lives up to expectations!

I know the feeling, I just bought a 1980 Mockingbird Supreme.....it's on the way. The supremes don't come up often!

Thanks! Yeah pretty much dead mint.

I decided to move quickly because now that FMIC owns Hamer and has 'parked' USA production/custom shop orders....

....Who knows if there will be any more made.

That is sweet. I'm a regular on the HFC and I see a few of these come up from time to time. I prefer the stadium logo and being a certified Floyd whore, always had to pass on the Standard. The Blitz, on the other hand, has been sent out from the factory with Floyds and Kahlers. Like this one:

vector, i thought most Blitz's had the 3 on 3 headstock. & i always wanted one of the 80's hamer explorers with the bigger headstock like the scepters.

There were a handful of banana/explorer head stock-ed Blitzes out there. The black one is my 2nd of those 6 in line HS. The other I sold off. And while the below Blitz gets mad props for the Zulu/Darth Maul paint , the black one gets more for being 24 frets and crowned...

VERY COOL, i prefer 22 frets. the crowns are very cool, i like boomers more on hamers. One of the few guitars i regret selling 22 fret scepter V floyd boomers, it was that horrible pearl pink hamer did a ton of guitars in back then.
