  • Need some help from the BC Rich experts

I don't know much about BC Rich, but I have had GAS over a Gunslinger the last few days. Can anybody give me some info about this guitar? Is it a good deal? Expensive? Is it in fact a custom?

i am no expert, but i had an original gunslinger and it was beyond amazing. mine was an 88-89, and the neck was probably the best neck i have ever played. mine was heavily used when i got it and the frets were heavily divoted, so it could have used a fret job. i didn't have the $$ so i sold it. i have missed it though....
    GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

    and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

Nice 'Class Axe' Era (Post Bernie Rico) guitar but WAYYY overpriced. Something between $550-$650 is about right.

since the korean and chinese gunslingers came out the prices have gone up. Not 900 up but more that 550-650.

+1. And I wouldn't bother with a Chinese model, but the Korean Gunslingers were real nice.

It looks real similar to a custom Gunslinger that Derek Frigo of Enuff Z'Nuff played. His had a quilt top but the color is probably the same.

Pretty sure its a MUTT. the body is a post class axe era, class axe didn't bevel the rear of the horn. the neck could be the same era or its wrong as the logo isn;t correct for an 89, but maybe for a post class axe. I don't/didn't pay much attn to BCR after 90'. Its not a CUSTOM and its not original at all. THE GS above doesn't have a serial# that fits into BCR's numbering system AT ALL. BCRich never used C and 6 digits, they used a B, BC or BO prefix, and class axe was CA###.

It could be, but his fakes are usually more dressed up and he's much better at faking serial#s then that. ed most likely would have used a BC prefix'd plate, BTW back in the day he gave a $200-250 rebate if you let him keep the neck plate when you bought a guitar.
