  • OMG sacrilage I have fallen for a Fender..and a couple others came with her.

I got these in a trade deal with some cash for one of my old acoustics while home for a funeral recently.

83 Fender strat in vintage white lace sensors in very nice shape with case AND CANDY and my god is this SOB a screamin MFer.. I have never played a strat I could bond with. This one is home for a while. No dish input this oddball bastard goes into the pick guard.

Peavey Nitro blue single hum...kahler original hsc in nice shape...think I need some parts off this for another project lol nothing special

Ibanez oddball prestige Saber..its got a couple chips but its a piezo and I have never had one so it should be interesting

    and....

    This odd motherfucker with case

    Kraken Hero

Yes im ready for the melted fruity candycane gay pride fruit stripes gum jam-off or on or in however that would work

Only one I have played is the strat other than a test for functionality. Been crazy have had 3 deaths in as many weeks with friends and family members. Ill get some pics as well as some shots of that other oddball I got for christmas.

The strat already made its permanent spot up on my wall the rest prob gone soon as well yall know me lol

    Nice guitar scores.

The 83 Fender is known as an "Elite" Series Strat, which was one of the first guitars made after Fender was bought out by Dan Smith and Co. from CBS. They came with a fulcrum non-locking tremolo called "Freeflyte" and didn't come with the input jack plate common on all Strats. The Freeflyte tremolo has a kind of dubious reputation with a lot of players and isn't known as being one of Fender's best inventions.

BTW- the pickups aren't Lace pickups, which came much later. They're a kind of active-style pickup that also had a dummy coil in the circuit.

They also made an Elite Telecaster and an Elite Precision as well, the latter of which I owned until it was stolen from me some time ago. Now THAT was one hell of a bass...

The pickups have been swapped in this one I am 99.99% sure since they are red silver blue and say lace lol?

I could be wrong though as it isnt in front of me. I am diggin the axe but I dont have a bar for the trem maybe its better that way lol

the feel of it and the neck profile are just butter and the SOB is un real sounding. I have laid my hands on many strats over the years and this is the FIRST that just fit.

I searched the kraken deal I found one reference to one on GC but its "not available" when you click the link and all the rest of it is in broken english either on ebay or their sites. The "hero" they have on ebay is like 2k...from what I have seen on this axe from my quick once over its definitely nice but not in that kinda price range.

It to me feels a bit like the soloist SL2 models did. High quality with some cheaper components. If its cool ill trick it out a bit and play it for a while or ill unload it I really have no need for it honestly.

That stock photo is very cool, would be awesome if you don't mind posting some actual pics.

Is it a rainbow over a flame maple top?

I dunno they say its a slab top but ya cant tell since there is a binding around it. It looks like the picture and does dance a little I think so it may at least be veneer and not gravure. I dont mind posting at all ward ill get them hopefully tomorrow right now i am tackling my office and redoing it to make it more player friendly. Contrary to popular belief I dont sell EVERYTHING I BUY lol.

I have a walk in closet that was so packed with cases I couldn't get to the stuff in it anymore. 7 star cases take up a shit ton of room and I have enough other strat cases in there that I couldnt move the door and get to the back.

We found out we dont have to move for my wifes schooling so now I am going to spend some time to get this place more to my liking again. I finally got surgery scheduled for late march as it seems the experimental stuff that I had done isnt doing much other than sucking money from me and keeping me from working. Talk about a fuckin bust.

anyway ill get them and the pics of the other stuff asap.

Cool. I just love any new finish I haven't seen before, and I'm really digging the rainbow over the woodgrain.

Don't think I've ever seen that before...

you got lucky usually those elites strats are pretty damn close to firewood.

Is it an elite? I thought the elite had the buttons for a switch but the input jack was still in the body. If the input is in where the 2nd tone should be then I think its just a standard from 82 or 83. If so it would have a normal vtrem with weird cheap looking saddles. Does it have the normal spring cavity on the rear or is it solid like a kahler equipped guitar like a 86 model 4?

No its the freeflyte but it plays damn good lol

It isnt the elite though as it doesn have the push button switching.

Cool, you're always finding interesting guitars. Congrats.
I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.

Yeah, that era (81-83) had all different combinations. Style 1, style 2, etc. Sounds like a cool guitar.
