Thanks for the kind words; there will be a bunch of completed stuff coming very soon, but for now, here's a pic of the body of the second prototype:

Thanks man! I like that if you're not nuts about it at first, it tends to grow on ya.

The '71 is definitely based on an LP, but the intent of the guitar was to design and build the LP styled guitar that I wanted. I never really bonded with the ones that I've had, and I realized that short scale guitars don't work for me, and I like some contours. So the '71 is 25.5" scale, has a sculpted neck heel, cutaway, and a rib contour, as well as a headstock that won't snap when you look at it funny. Ultimately, it'll come in three versions; the basic version (no binding or figured top, but it's got a forearm bevel that the others won't have), a dressed up version (binding, figured top, etc), and the flagship which will have everything that the dressed up model has, but with a carved top. I should have the carved top version done toward the end of the year.

Are you set up to do a 24.75 neck in the neck building class?
Any way you could possibly put more shit into your sig?

The classes use 25.5 scale, but I may consider a short scale option. One of the issues you run into is that 24.75 is not always 24.75.

That's one seriously beautiful guitar! Kinda reminds me of a tree leaf, very organic and natural looking.
