  • NGD, "poor man's Vandy" Nitro III

I always wanted a Vandenberg so I jumped on this "poor man's Vandy" at a pawn shop. I couldn't walk away from the price and she is in excellent condition. I just wish I didn't have to take out a second mortgage for a replacement trem arm.
I still keep practicing though.... Mostly because I hate my neighbors.-MakeAJazzNoiseHere

I have two of these with a single hum in black. Be careful - the body wood is really soft and the trem post pull forward really easy. There is a red body for sale on ebay for years that has the messed up trem post. One of my bodies is shot and the other is pulling forward. I de-tune to keep the tension off the posts.

      Is that a spyder trem?

Kahler 2710. Different than the spyder, supposed to be better.

Oh, a killer. Ive got one on a model 3. Yes, good trems. My eyes could not tell what it was. I just saw the odd shaped rout.

            Trust me, it is.

Another thing I don't like on these are the fairly small frets. I don't know why they don't come with jumbos.

Yep, the low E post is just slightly forward. Maybe this can be my drop D guitar.

For a poor man's Vanderberg, you migh as well hunt down an import Peavey V-type

I was looking for one, they don't turn up often.

There are 2 types of V-type USA and Import. The Neck Thru limited EXP import V-types are really nice. The bolt ons werent really impressive to me. The USA V-type is killer but really rare.
