I'm finally getting back to my projects - pointy fans might like this one.

Comes in handy!
I've seen where guys retrofit these little Enco mills with servos and hook up to a PC.
Tempting!

The Dragon rasps from Stewmac are $50 each, but I'm sure they do a far better job than my shitty Chinese $5 hardware store rasp. That drum sander from Grizzly is exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm pretty sure I could build the exact same thing for $20. I've never tried a microplane. Do they have them at Stewmac?
Stewmac doesn't carry them, but woodcraft does. Your pall Freddy G turned me on to these things; they're fast! I use the 8" round and flat ones for roughing in contours and rough neck shaping.

I just meant that for those duplicating machines, it would be kin of a pain in the ass. Imagine having full sized 3 dimensional dummies of every guitar shape you've ever made though.

As far as the rotary microplane goes, you can get a bearing attachment for the bottom, so it'd work like a robo sander. Have been interested, but a spinny cheese grater is probably more danger than I wanna get at the moment!

It's a carving attachment for an angle grinder that is basically a chainsaw chain on a grinder disk. A local guy uses it for doing carved tops on hollow bodies.

Jesus Aiche. No fucking thank you.
And I thought my Spinny Bit of Death was scary:

I actually have a microplane tool in my house and I didn't know it until I used it tonight. I have one of their graters for my Parmesan cheese. Let me tell you they are the bees knees for grating Parmesan. A quick rinse with cold water and a wipe down with a paper towel and you could go all night.GTWGITS! - RacerX

I realize it's been a while since I posted any more pictures of my progress. The problem is, I got my mother of pearl, but I just don't know what I'm going to do for a 12th fret inlay. It's the only thing holding me up, but I just can't come up with anything. If I can't come up with anything better by tomorrow, I'm just going to do a Viking rune inlay. Once the inlay is done, I can radius the board, glue it to the neck, and finish sanding the neck. It's already carved almost to it's final shape, but I figured I would finish it after the fret board is on. So, maybe I'll post some more pics tomorrow.
