NGD Mystery guitar........

ok, so i scored a no name guitar on fleabay for buttons (looked like it had potential). went and collected it WOW!! it plays like a dream, no fret buzz anywhere, low action, no dead spots, the only thing is i can't find out the make. does anyone recognise any identifying features (cavity shape, control layout shape, the little "R" on the back of the head)?

The volute looks ESP, but the control route is wrong for that (but I guess it could have been enlarged). The body shape and head don't look quite right for ESP either - the head looks too 'short' and the body horns are too long..

When I think R, I think BC Rich or maybe Ran Guitars. But I'm not saying either one of those is correct.

It's probably from China and repainted. If you got it for cheap and it's a great player, then thats cool.

Looks similar to a Series 10 guitar.
I think they made a knock off of just about everyone in the 80's.

didn't fernandez have a headstock like that at one time? the build looks very ESPish.

Not an ESP. Headstock is wrong as is the control cavity for starters.

I'm not thinking it's a Series 10 because of the binding, but that headstock looks like my Series 10 bass.

Odd control layout as well.
