Glad you asked about the Agile. It's one of the gems I've had over the years and is a GREAT guitar. This one has an ebony board with jumbo frets, thick mahogany body with maple cap, and Grover tuners. I just had the EMGs installed about a month ago and I keep it tuned down to Drop Db.

Don't tell anyone...but it's heavier and projects louder than my Gibson. It plays just as well (if not better due to the jumbo frets...personal preference) and the natural sustain is insane.

I was also very impressed with the electronics from the factory. It was wired up very cleanly and the stock pups were great for classic rock and blues tones.

I always keep my eyes peeled to find another one. They're great guitars and I'd take one of the AL-3100's over an Epiphone or Gibson LP Studio any day.

Also, thanks for the compliments, guys. I've wanted one of the US made '84's since I was in high school and just happened to find this one in Raleigh.

Something about planets aligning and all that.

Didn't realize they did that with the 2nd's from the first run. Still, you get my point. The one he bought was one of the good ones made in the USA. All the new ones have black hardware and are made in Korea.

Thanks man! I'm running a SD Custom Custom/Pearly Gates combo and it sounds phenomenal, too. It's one of the 2012 Standard's with the slightly chambered body and the compound radius fretboard. I never really liked LP's to be honest, but I couldn't turn this one down. It's got that thick "Les Paul sound" down for sure.
