  • Esp m-1 ntb gas

Can't help it, I'm gasin real bad for this ESP M-1 NTB. Contacted ESP and got what they told me was there last one in there warehouse, and it is on the way. The M-1 NTB was discontinued in 2012 that's why i had to contact ESP directly. Guitar is pretty much the same thing as my Jackson COW, just has neck through design vs the COW's bolt on.

I've owned a couple of ESP's over the years and their fit and finish is among the best you can get. I sold mine off because I just could not bond with the string spacing. I found it too narrow for my taste.

The ESP also has an alder body and maple neck, as opposed to the mahogany of the COW.

          But they're great guitars, congrats!

Well I got it! I must say the over craftsmanship of the guitar is amazing. The thing is just super solid! I was concerned I would have problems with the XJ-frets, (fretting a note to hard and going sharp) being I can be heavy handed at times when playing. I have that problem with the Jackson COW sometimes. But the ESP M-1 neck is not giving me that problem at all. I know its my playing and not the Jackson's fault. I just suck at playing with a soft touch. So the ESP may be a little more of a comfortable fit for me personally and a great addition to the arsenal. I'm thinking about installing a Duncan JB or Distortion with Neon green and black bobbins. Thinking since my CO already has an EMG 81 I may try a passive in the M-1 down the road.

Cool looking guitar! I just wish ESP would ditch that block inlay at the 12th..

Exactly! That's the one thing that i hate about ESPs.

I don't like the block inlay either ( or a white nut on an otherwise all black guitar ) but it still looks great. Nice score.

Here is a pic of Jake Kiley from the band Strung Out custom ESP M-1 with no inlay, all black hardware, black nut. It was stollen while they were on tour in Philadelphia years ago.

Nice one! I don't know what ESP considers extra jumbo, but they also claim the frets on my LTD Alex Wade 7-string are extra jumbo when they look similar to the medium jumbo on my Carvin 7. Seems ESP frets, compared to others, are actually smaller than what they list them as.

That is a sweet guitar. I have two ESP Customs, and they're exactly the opposite. They're both finesse necks that like a light touch and don't play well if you have a heavy pick attack. Either way, build quality of both ESPs is noticeably better than Jackson or Charvel CS... even though I still prefer Jackson over ESP.
