Sky rr v???

I picked up a RR V copy by a brand named SKY. There is very little about these online but it's not a bad ax. I pulled it apart and it's pretty well made. the sharkies appear to be MOP inlays. Possibly abalone? after giving it a good set up with new strings I was really impressed. are these some backdoor brand from an Indie or Korean factory making the JS line? Copy made in China? there are some decent features like a bound fretboard, lic floyd and no front pick guard. The fretboard is narrower than my KE3 but has a C profile to the neck.
Does anybody know anything about these?

The neck looks real familiar. The shape of both the headstock and the sharkies looks like the Jackson copy necks on Ebay. Eden maybe?

yeah, sorry bout that fellas. the only pic i have at the moment was an afterthought pic of the guitar apart on the work bench. I will grab some more decent pics soon.

Yeah, I know the tuners are crap, the bridge has such course threads on the "fine tuners" that they can no longer be classified as "fine" and are damn near useless, the body is so light on them you could probably carve it up and make those lil gliders we used to have as kids (would prob be more fun and useful) and best of luck to you trying to keep it in tune. The hundred bucks these POS' cost would be better spent on any number of things besides these. Yeah I know the pics suck about as bad as this crap they're trying to pass off as a guitar but here's a couple of shots of one I picked up while up in Oregon before I moved to Texas. Traded it for a Takamine electric (damn right I got the better end of that deal).

I figured it had to be china or somewhere like that. there were no numbers or country or origin any where on it. probably a sticker that got pulled off. Gawd knows if it were made in Japan or the US it would have been on it.
It seems like the head is a bit wider or fatter looking than the regular Jackson.
Either way, I've never had a RR style V and didn't want to drop the money on a Jackson before I knew if I could deal with the body shape. I figured if all else fails I could give it a swanky paint job. neon color of some sort, for $70 it's in great shape with no chips or dings on the points.

I must have lucked up because it stays in tune even after diving.

The lines are from the tool that cut out the neck pocket. from what I can see in the cavities it's a light wood, possibly bass wood and possibly solid or with the wings added. it's those little things like the finish inside the neck pocket that scream CHEAP, but since i've been known to tinker with a guitar or two these things are easily corrected. If I bought a kit to build it would have run at least $200. This way I get basically the same parts for a fraction. A little sand paper and TLC go a long way.

Gonna take more than sandpaper and TLC but on the positive side, ya can't really screw it up.
