I'm not sure what to do, right now I'm just like a kid in a candy store. I measured it and it's 4 3/4" X 15" X 50" I can make at most 6 S bodies out of it. Now that you mention a neck through blank from Carvin I'm all a mess. Yeehaw!!!I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.

Check out these on ebay
Or this one with walnut and maple would go really well with the walnut wings.

Ahhh fuck having a tom style bridge anyway haha. I find hardtail bridges are the go because they are seated on the body better, But hey different strokes for different blokes. And what i find funny about your statement is that it works both ways. If you have a neck angle in most cases it will not work as well with hardtail non tremolo style bridges. This is off course dependent on the angle etc/Last edited by charvelsteen; 07-09-2013, 07:15 PM.Birds like you fly straight to heaven

Well progress is slow as i am really busy at the moment with other projects.
Any way i did the electronics cavity, battery and jack. I tried to do the jack cavity with just a chisel and hammer i don't know why but it didn't turn out all the best. Either way the jackplate will hide the chip on the edge.
The Paulownia is so damn soft its unbelievable. Its softer then cheapo pine wood from burnings. Its even as soft as balsa. well almost

I finally got some time to work on the project and.............Disaster struck. My drill press head/chuck thingy developed some play when i was drilling the last 3 larger inlay holes. Anyway being the dumbass i am i didn't notice until i finished the last one.
It sort of makes me wanna cry a bit :frowny I dont really know if i can fix it or if its even worth it. It doesn't look all bad but it isn't perfect. Oh well i guess my strong point is finishes and i this is my first complete build but still. ARRRRGHhhhhhhhhhh@#@#$#@#$#@$#

Admittedly, there's a lot more work involved in building a neck with neck angle, but I just prefer it that way.

Here is a better picture of the inlays after i cleaned them.
I don't think i am going to worry about fixing it. I was thinking i could stain the maple black and inlay it with pearl dots or something but its a lot of extra work and i do really like the look of the marblewood dots on maple.
What do you guys think i should do?
