I honestly regret not just doing a rear route/cavity but anyway here it is.

And here is my flat pickup mounts. I might make some out of metal if the plastic shits out on me. The screws still go into the timber as well so its more security than anything.

I got the front on and i have put on one coat of sealer. I am feeling ok about this now.

Thanks!! it was a bit of a risk on the colour but i am very happy with it. I am a bit undecided on what i want to do with the neck. It has come down to either leave it as it is or i cover that too. The second option adds heaps of stability to a long neck so it would be suitable but it is a lot of work.

I think the body looks much better than the picture you had up at first. The colors look great too. Keep it up. Looks like its gonna be cool

I would paint it and put a real nice clear coat that you can sand down and get a real slick feeling from.

I don't know why, it could be a coincidence, but i tend to like unfinished necked guitars more.
My vote would be to not paint it.

Not the look. Fingers. My fingers like unfinished.
And not ones that are clear coated and feel smooth and shiny.
i apologize for not knowing terminology and other technical details. Its my biggest complaint about myself.

The best way for me to describe it would be

Its the only new guitar that i can say, if you walked into a store to check it out, is guaranteed to have the right neck finish.

That's the finish my fingers like. Again, it could be coincidence. Maybe i like the guitars themselves and the neck finish has nothing to do with it?
