I used to have a korean one. I've played the new basswwod ones and they have a thicker neck and the quality wasn't nearly as good, but to each his own I guess.
I read somewhere? the 1st series had mahogany body, Super Distortion & German Floyd. 2nd had alder body, Rockfield & Floyd Special (both MIK), &
the new ones (mine) are basswood, Duncan Design & Floyd Special MIC (Made Incredibly Cheap). I'm happy with it considering the price.

Mine had a Super Distortion until I put a ToneZone in it... I'll have to check for the German Floyd... Mahogany... ??? I don't think I'll remove the paint to check it out! lol
Put the Super Distortion in last night, sounds much better. It must be the guitar, through the amp the E6 oscillates badly but sounds
fine through other gear. The DDs did the same, I thought it was just coz they were cheap.
Anyhoo, the new p'up doesn't have much more gain but sounds a lot classier & the harmonics jump out well. It has a nice tight low end
which is what I was after. Overall, I'm pretty chuffed.
Also a bonus: this thing stays in tune no matter how bad the trem gets treated, un-f**king-real.
I had the green one for about a month. Decent guitar for the price but certainly not at the quality of the original Gunslingers (I had a few of them too). Pot was weird and started acting up, input jack was very cheap and certainly won't last and the fret edges were a little sharp. It also had a marginal at best generic pickup in it. I switched it to a Duncan JB and it sounded great. Stayed in tune really well too. Excellent paint job. I think they are very decent guitars for the price.
All of those gunslingers look sweet! I love that green crackle warlock too. Are the new import slingers made in China now? I've seen them going from the high $200s to low $300s on ebay, but I don't really know much about BC Rich's stuff. If their decent players and can be a main guitar, I would like to grab one sometime.

Yes, newer ones are made in China out of basswood. The discontinued Korean models are made of alder.
