I've been building my own parts mutts for nearly 20 years and continue to enjoy creating killer guitars out components. Whether it's a replica of something else or an original creation, I'm a huge fan of parts guitars.
Because of this, I recently created a Facebook page called "Mutts Rule". This page if for everyone who likes to build guitars from parts...those who like to "roll their own". For any of you who are on Facebook, here is the link...check us out and join up!

No specific brand affiliations...mutts are universal. Just because its pretty, doesn't mean it plays well, and vice versa.

Musikraft neck, Blackhorse body, Duncan Custom 5 and Dimarzio SDS-1, OFR
Warmoth neck, "mystery" body, Duncan Custom/Pearly Gates, NOS brass v-trem
Earl Slick clone...all Dimarzio parts. Pre-pro Charvel mutt.
Warmoth parts. In this pic it has a mirror guard with Anderson H2+ and SD2 pickups. Currently has a white Strat guard with a JB Jr in the bridge and "lipstick tube" singles in the middle and neck. Charvel logo has been removed.
