  • 2 new vintage acoustics day

Found these at two different Goodwill stores today
    1st one is a 71 Stella Harmony F-71 H928.
Real clean and in great shape.Changed the strings and it sounds really good for a 3/4 size guitar.
2nd is a 65 Espana made in Finland.
It needs some work but in decent shape mahogany back and sides, spruce top.
Needs a little steaming of the top under the neck to raise it up back to where it needs to be and a new bridge saddle nut.

You ever wonder if these second hand stores ever get the rare gem that ends up being worth thousands?
8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?

I bought an 85 USA San Dimas Charvel in one years ago.Sold it in the hey days when Charvels were bringing huge dollars.IIRC got $2200.00 for it.
      A 1948 Gibson LGO acoustic,70's Framus acoustic,50's Harmony Monterey.
All were in the $30-$40.00 buck range I call that a good price.

The Espana is getting some moisture right now to see if I can get the slight bow under the fingerboard to raise up to where it should be.
I don't want to have to reset the neck if I don't have to.

We have four Goodwill stores in the area.
I know that someone snags the good stuff before it ever has a chance to hit the floor, plus they list on Ebay.
So the days of finding anything decent are over, at least here.
Thrift stores, flea markets yard sales, CL, and surplus are all better chances for me.

        Cool scores stray.

Cyg if you go on a Monday its the best time to find this kind of stuff at Goodwill.
They process the items in from the weekend drop offs and put them out first thing Monday morning,if it sits very long they send it to corporate and it goes on Ebay.
