Out of the closet

Was cleaning out a closet and found this.For the last couple of years I thought it was an empty case in the back corner.
I built this one a while back and forgot about having it.
70's Fender tele bridge pick up and Gretsch lap steel pick up in the neck.Slapped a set of tuners on the ball bat neck strung it up and enjoying playing it again.
My first attempt at a burst paint job.
Heavy ass poplar body so the guitar weighs 11.3 lbs.
Plays and sounds great so I guess its a new guitar night.

SIXER I'm down to 20 or so which is way down from a couple of hundred say 10 years ago.

No offense at all Ward I caught the humor plus I'm not one of those homophobic types that would take offense.
Hellbat I tried a strat single in the neck and it was OK but do like the lap steel pick up a lot its very much like a P 90 just not as hairy.I would like to try a TV Jones humbucker in there and see how it sounds.
500 k pots and vintage style paper in oil cap,vintage wire.
The neck pick up is really smooth and not all that glassy but has a unique sound all its own.
With both pick ups on and the amp cranked it is a fat sounding guitar. Just on the bridge its got all the quack you could want.

Boys, boys, are you really that naiive? They know exactly what you have got and haven't got. Just never question how many pairs of shoes they actually need and why they keep buying them, and all will be well in your homes.

I would always pack a few empty cases as I went out the door so if they came back with a guitar she never knew for sure.
She just knew I had a lot of guitars and never really questioned me about it.
It was more a business thing with me then anyway.
Nice being single now so I don't have to put up with her other shit anymore.
