Picked up a Girbson. That's right, not really a spelling error, just what I'm gonna call it from now on because its a fake.

A real Gibson or not, it plays beautifully and I think it looks cool. It falls between Epi and Gibson in playability and build. It's actually a really nice guitar beside its obvious copyright infringement.
Its almost dead on save for a couple key things, the scarf joint for example. It also has scarf joint at the heel. I've never seen that before on any guitar. Im posting links since my phone won't post pics like a computer.

Dont have any reason to think these are fake since its not a tobacco burst slash knock off. It has cts pots in it too. Seems it was totally worth the price I paid.

It plays and sounds great. It's had a level and polish done, I'm sure that helps. I know I'll be ridiculed for the following statement, but it plays just as good as the real standard I had about a year ago. I know it's not a Gibson but its a damn good player, and if it gets stolen or broke I'm really not out anything. I've been on this maple kick lately. This is my third maple board guitar in a row.

Yeah, I was taken by the finish. Never have seen an all natural colored LP, real or fake. It's definitely unique.

The body shape seems slightly off to my eye, but that could just be a camera thing. It looks different for an LP with the maple board too. Did the seller try to represent it as a real Gibson?

Cool, don't see very many of these even when legit.
Is it a brighter sound than most others?

The body seems right on to me but I'm no expert. No, we all knew it was fake. I paid $400 for it, which is a bit high but its unique finish I didn't want to pass up. It is a little brighter sounding than other LPs I've had.
