  • Hammer Van Helsing Horror Dinky style Glow guitar for sale

Just letting you guys see the auction of my pal Artie from Las Vegas who built what is basically a replica Hamer Steve Stevens, but so much more. Art is a great guitar builser and a master of painting glow in the dark paint finishes.

It is an incredible guitar, a one off and tremendous value, I don't have the cash but I would and I already have a Hamer SS-3 tribute/replica guitar.
    Coolest guitar ever.

Hey, thanks for posting this! I'm a big Stevens [and Hamer] fan myself. I've got
a SS1 and 2 SS2s, one of them showroom condition...

Why is it called the Van Helsing model?
VH was a character in the Dracula story, all I see on this is Dracula's pic and what do zombies have to do with it?Not digging it all that much.
      Nice playing guitar I'm sure.
      Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it's called Van Helsing, either. I see Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstein, The Plagued Zombie, and I think I see Vincent Price.

No not true, SS isn't the only guitarist I like, I like many many others.
This is a mixture of Hamer SS-3 and and with sort of a Washburn SS 80 guitar neck with an asymmetrical neck profile, ect.
Van Helsing was the vampire hunter in the Bram Stoker Dracula book and the guitars logo Hamer is changed to Hammer, the English film company who made all those horror films in the seventies.
Here is Peter Cushing as Van Helsing:

Christopher Lee played Count Dracula, the Hammer films had more T&A if you will than the Universal movies:

That's the connection. In recent times Hugh Jackman has played Van Helsing the vampire slayer.

I have seen most all the Hammer Dracula films albeit years ago.
Read the Bram Stoker book as well.

I like it, except for the headstock shape. But I could live with it if the guitar played good.

Not a fan of that headstock but the graphic is great! The old Cristopher Lee/Peter Cushing Dracula movies were my favorites compared to other vampire movies. Nice work on the Hammer vs. Hamer too
