Shredder NGD...x3!! Pacifica content...

I had a busy week last week. Sold a redundant 7-string, a couple Squier Teles, paid some bills, and got these:



Yamaha Pacifica 921
Yamaha Pacifica 1221M (this will be getting stripped and refin'd)
Yamaha 1230S

The 1200 series have necks so thin, they'd make an Ibanez RG550 cry cuz it feels fat. Just a tad wider though. I love these guitars. I used to have a bunch of them about 10 years ago, and had always regretted selling them. Sleepers for sure.

Yamaha made some decent stuff. I played RGX guitars in the late 80s before I could afford Ibanez....

I especially love the 1200s. What color are you gonna do the 1221 in? I always wanted a 1221 in yellow like the one in the ad they had in all the guitar mags.

I had that one with the maple neck. Awesome guitar - same as the one I have.

I'm thinking a pearl white metallic or something like that? Maybe see if they can do one of those iridescent finishes like Cadillac does? I LOVE white guitars... It's a Silver Sparkle underneath, so if I can strip the texture stuff off, and save that finish, I will, but I'm not holding my breath.

Just so you know, thanks to you I now have GAS something fierce for a Yellow 1221. Hell, I'd take any color if I could find one with a rosewood board (I've never really been a fan of maple boards). It's going to be on my daily Ebay search now.

That's one hell of a weeks haul, Chisolson. I have 2-921s and 2-1212s, with a 1221 on it's way to me now. They are great guitars in every respect. I love the height adjustable nuts, jumbo frets, Dimarzios, Floyds, and the heelless neck joints.

Which 1221 did you get? Was it the pink one on eBay?

Yam make some great guitars. My mate has a 1212s and its a killer shred guitar easily on par with the jackson soloists and charvel 750xl
