EVH Wolfgang Special on sale - ad misprint?

So I'm browsing through my August Guitar center mailer and I see that they're offering the EVH Wolfgang Special for $799!!! Street price everywhere is $1499. I've owned this guitar in the past and it is well worth the $799 price...MIJ, SS frets, Wolfgang pickups, OFR....and an SKB case. Weird thing is that GCs website is still showing the price as $1499. I'm pretty sure mailer prices and website prices usually are in sync. You think this was a mistake?

Maybe.... They're not priced that way online. Did they have specific dates or anything on it?

They do give crap away practically from time to time. I'd just show up with the ad if you're interested.

I thought import EVHs were now coming out the Ensenada factory.

They maybe changing or have changed but if they are blowing these out it's probably the Chinese stock.

Saw that too and got excited; but online has them for the normal price...plus none of my local guitar center have them so...

You know, I played an EVH Wolfgang Special a few weeks back and its GREAT guitar. It felt comfortable the second I picked it up...It sounded great as well, and I didn't even touch the amp. Just selected a high-gain channel....I didn't care for the volume pots. Far too loose for my liking. I know that's Eddies thing....I'm not sure I'm sold on the look either....they have always seemed....I dunno...just odd to me.....fantastic players though....799 is a killer price...

I played a Peavey Wolf Special Floyd years ago new in a store. Now let me tell you, I usually can`t stand 25.5 scale guitars but this one played very effortlessly. I should haved bought it!!
