  • new (used) GMW on it's way

I kind of accidentally bought this last weekend so I don't know if I'm going to keep it or not but it sure looks interesting

I know the seller so I know it's in mint condition, also has a big brass block and titanium blocks in the saddles

A friend of mine had it listed on the bay and I shot in a low offer (off of his starting bid).
no one else bid after me (ending an auction at 7:00 pm on a Saturday night is not a good time)
so instead of pushing up the bid for him I just won it. I actually had no intention of buying it and I even told him I'd let him off
the hook (stupid cheap price for this ) but I think his wife was putting the screws to him a bit so it is on it'w way.

Reminds me of a line from The Last Boy Scout. "So you accidently slipped, fell, and stuck your dick in my wife?"

                    she has arrived
                    here with her older sister

                    general impressions
Lee knows how to make a shred machine, the neck on this one is a tiny bit thicker than my blue one and is 1 11/16th (blue is 1 3/4's), but man oh man ultra low action no buzz (I had to raise the action up a bit)
                    incredibly easy to play.
The neck pickup is a Suhr something and sounds great, the bridge is a duncan custom custom and is really bright. If I keep it it will have to go.
the 2 toggles. the outside one splits the bridge the inner one sets the single into 'real" single (no hum canceling). interesting combination of available tones.
I didn't realize how dirty and broken in looking the neck is on my blue one until I got it right next to this brand spanking new thing (it's been pretty much un played) I got this for about 1/2 of what it would've cost me new so I really have to think about keeping it (it's such a 'deal"). frets are 6105's too , a little smaller than I like but they feel pretty good on this one.

Just looking through some of my older pics. Thought I'd share one of Nick's trans blue quilt when I owned it years ago. Nick's cell phone pic doesn't do this guitar justice. Check out the color and figuring on this one! I imagine the trans red quilt GMW is also a great looker and is amazing in person.

(Sorry, Nick. Just had to share a pic of this one!)

ya my pic does no justice , I will take some outdoors (maybe even today) the red one is quite a beauty. the difference in the fret boards caught me by surprise. I didn't realize how "broken In" the neck on the blue one is now, years of wanna be shredding LOL!

Cool. I love everything about the guitar except for the headstock. I can't stand that Millennium headstock!

                              I think it's pretty sweet!
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.
