Did my 3rd gig with it. Beat the crap out of the whammy bar. It stayed in tune perfectly. How the heck is this happening!!

Straight string pull to the machine heads, and a perfectly cut nut. Proves you don't need a locking nut to stay in tune. There's some debate about this on the Carvin forum, as their standard nut with Floyd trem seems to work fine, and the locking nut option is an extra $30, but some people can't fathom having a trem without one.
