I found this info on ehowOrigin- Rogue guitars are the house brand for a music distribution company called Musician's Friend located near the Rogue River in the Rogue Valley of Medford, Oregon. This is where the guitar line got its name.
- Rogue guitars were introduced in the mid 1990s. The Rogue line has since expanded to include mandolins, basses and other stringed instruments, as well as amplifiers and keyboards.
- As of 2010, Rogue guitars featured electric and acoustic guitars in a price range that went from $35 for an acoustic to no more than $300. Acoustic guitars feature ash wood tops and electric guitars have a one-piece mahogany wood construction.
- Musician's Friend is the primary distributor of the Rogue guitar, but the actual manufacturing of the instruments is done by Sungbo Industrial in Korea.

FWIW I've seen a few Rogue products up close, and they have all been extremely low quality. A friend of mine bought a Rogue bass off Ebay, and we were astonished to discover that the body was made of particle board. Yup that's right, not even plywood, but basically wood shavings compressed and glued together.

"For that open, airy, hollow tone that nobody wants" Throw a set of EMGs on it and no one will ever knowI want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

I honestly don't think its plywood. weights too much to be plywood. Like I said I never seen a Rogue with this kind of quality. I knew rogues were shit beginner guitars, but this is different. 3pc maple neck with rosewood board. has there been guitars made with maple and rosewood with a plywood/particle board bodies?I love guitars, Always have and always will.
