The fuck?? It's just a vintage radius & smaller frets....how does this eliminate string-bending?? Different than a flatter radius & larger frets but still quite playable including bending strings!!

Well I'm glad your ma didn't mind it, but how did you find it to play?

But NOTHING that comes close to a 7.25"! I'm sure I'm gonna be like...WTF? Yep I bought this one pretty much exclusively on it's "vintagy" merits and looks . Looking forward to the impending frustration of having to relearn again. But then again, it truly can't make me sound any worse than I already am on guitar!
Well, I guess you'll get used to it, as many others have... some great tunes were made on vintage Strats! Let us know what you think when you get it.

          Congratz!

I agree that you got to have at least 1 Stratocaster in your collection of always played guitars.

I got mine in a trade back in 1995 or so. I could not really play it but I upgraded it and started playing the music that was suited for it. However when I was down to just the strat in 1996 that was one one of the main reasons for getting what turned out to be RR2772 brand new.

These days I am so used to my Strat and RR2772 that it is all in my chops if I want to improve my playing.

Sweet! I think everyone needs to have at least one strat in the stable.....I have my doubts that you'll hate it....

Hellbat, assuming your Strat has a 5 way position pickup selector switch, positions 2 and 4 are always noisier than 1, 3, and 5. But anyway, make sure you're not by fluorescent or neon lighting. That adds lots of noise. The other thing which may work if you like the sound of your current pickups is perhaps one of those Hum Eliminator boxes perhaps?
Actually the way mine is wired, 2 and 4 are humbucking positions. It's fine whenever I play out for not picking up too much noise, it's just at home I sit about 6 feet from the house main electrical panel and I believe my computer keyboard actually puts out a lot of electrical noise as whenever I move it I get a lot of buzzing.

If positions 2 and 4 are noiseless then you have reverse wound bridge and neck single coil pick ups. Fender did that sometimes. I have a highway one that's like that.
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

Actually I believe the middle is the reverse wound one.

Sorry, but I'd take the Firecrackle 5FX your are trying to sell over this any day of the week.

Regardless of the wiring/windings there is a bit of noise that comes with single coils. You learn to quiet it some or live with it. Some things that I usually do are avoid fluorescent/neon lights, use quality patch cables and cords, plug amp and effects into the same power source which is usually a Furman Power Factor Pro, and if needed I use an old Hush The Pedal. Haven't tried the little hum eliminator box, Hum X I think its called but it might be worth a try too.

NICE, the 7.25 radius is why i prefer strat copies to real ones i like em. I just can't get used to it.

                            SHE SHOWED UP TODAY!

This really is a Chocolate beauty. Right out of the box, I could tell that this guitar is VERY well made. Like much more well made than I was anticipating.
Honestly, this guitar FAR supercedes my skill level . It's gonna take a LOT of practicing on my part to feel up to snuff. I really am awed at how good this thing is. The Japanese can really build a good guitar!
Let me rephrase that last statement.
Fender Japan can really build a good guitar!
Reason I said that was because I tried out some Japanese made DK2's a few years ago (brand new). Yes they were set up very nicely, and yes they were good guitars and if I needed a new guitar at the time I probably would have bought one of those......but they left me feeling underwhelmed, and honestly I wasn't expecting all that much better on this guitar.
This Fender Japan strat is MILES above what those DK2's were in terms of perceptual quality. This thing is freaking AWESOME.

In truth, if I had had the fortune to have gotten my hands on this same guitar back in 1985, I would have been a Fender die-hard for life. As it turns out, I got hooked on Charvels and snubbed Fenders thinking that they're a step down from what I played. Well they're not (not if this guitar is any indication of what Fender puts out on a regular basis. I seriously would put this thing up against ANY Custom Shop guitar and have the owner of that guitar try and fins ANY fault with this thing...it is that good.
