NGD - Caparison TAT special

SWEET! Reminds me of my beloved Hamer Californians albeit, the TAT's are a bit more fancy with the carved tops, the 5 piece neck, and the wings etc. Were it not for the head stock, I'd consider getting one.

I've been looking non stop since. It got stolen from my storage facility. Thankfully I had took all of my other gear out of that facility ten days prior to it's "Vanishing act." The best thing I ever did was pay the extra $25 bucks a month to insure my storage unit. They paid me quickly and apologized to me. I took the check and bought my first USA Select KV2 so a positive came from a negative. I still miss the hell out of that guitar but the KV2 softens the blow a lot.

Thanks again guys. Feel really fortunate to finally own one. These are very rare and it took me over a year to hunt one down, direct from Japan

Definitely has the Jackson feel to it. The neck for this particular model is on the chunkier 'D' profile. The thicker heel doesn't hinder the higher fret access at all, and i noticed that it's much clearer when playing anyhting past the 15th fret.

For Jackson junkies (I'm one myself) who wants to try a Caparison look no further than a TAT 1 or 2. They've similar specs to the SL1 / SL2H except with a tilt back body and carved top.

That's actually a Horus, not a TAT special. Unless the model naming scheme is different from that for the Japanese market.

EDIT: And if it's a Horus, it should be medium scale, but I just saw the pic of the headstock that reads "Through and Through", so I guess that the naming scheme IS different.

I thought the TAT was the only neck-through model (hence the name Through and Through) and that the Horus was bolt-on.

"chunky d" neck, uh? do maybe feels like the japan-made, neck-thru charvel model 5, 550xl, or 5fx (if you have ever played one of these)? hope it's not like a les paul. sorry, i'm trying to get a sense of the profile...

+1 The Horus is a bolt on and the guitar in this thread is a "TAT." It's the same thing with cars in Japan there isn't any "Acura" it's all Honda. It's Just more nomenclature confusion. But the guitar in this thread is not a Horus. At least it's not called that in USA. Who the hell knows what they call it in Japan.
