I've been GASing for one after seeing vids of Slash playing his CS version, and wanna know, has anyone ever played one of these? And if so, what are your thoughts?

I have one, They're a little heavy. They need different pickups and the spaceship controls are a bit much. Other than that they're built good and the neck is great for a neck through. They look real good in person.

Make sure you get the one made by World Guitar out of Korea they are very well made guitars.
I would stay away from the Chinese ones.
Yes they are heavy and the Rockfield pick ups are decent.

Great guitar. Got one of the ST's and one of the TTK-1 limited runs (has a maple Gunslinger neck and Les Paul controls). Both made in Korea, both excellent guitars. They come with Duncan Designed pickups now, but that's easy enough to change. Most Guitar Centers have a few in stock. Go check 'em out. Just buy 'em elsewhere, they're highly negotiable (I got my ST new with a hard case for $500, for instance).

I have an import SL that I disabled space shuttle launch controls, replaced the pots, pickups, and black hardware to Gold. Great playing guitar. Its for sale if interested. I also have a Special X too.
