His guitars are not that nice, there were a ton of issues with them. So much so dealers wanted nothing to do with them. Once they realized the guitars were overpriced shit with a nice name behind them. Wayne and Michael make excuses and are horrible to deal with when it comes to resolving issue with their guitars as they think every guitar they build is perfect. Seriously the guys a piece of shit and if I lived in Cali not NY Michael charvel would be pulling my Wayne out of his ass or duckin as I try to take his head off with it. His line of BS and the way he speaks to people who buy his $2000 bolt on is really great for business (sarcasm). I'm assuming this will just be another failed Wayne guitar venture.

After learning the real history I consider him famous for putting together parts he bought from others. Since some of his stuff came from Schecter USA and Boogie bodies I'll go to them. Boogie bodies has been back around for a few years and I believe Warmoth is a spin off of the original company. Schecter is back with USA models and I'm drolling for their purple flame top
Regarding Charvel guitars now like others have said he's sellng copies of guitars that didn't create. I also have heard more bad things then good.

Aside from the attempted name association to Charvel guitars he had no involvement with....& the steep prices....the duplicate serial #s on early Waynes concern ALOT of buyers!!

That was the same thing I said when I saw it. I just don't understand why anyone would pay him to autograph a Charvel guitar.
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

I've seen ones that were nice but as you've mentioned I've seen a lot with issues as well. I've also heard horror stories about dealing with him and his son as well. A lot of people say he's totally dishonest but I've never dealt with him directly so I can't say one way or the other.

Like others have said he's making money building copies of guitars he had nothing to do with creation wise. I've seen and played a few of his DiMartini copies and to be honest they were pretty decent but for the price you can get a real custom shop Charvel. I would personally never buy anything from him.

Just buy a real Charvel bro. You'll be a lot happier in the end and if there's a problem with it FMIC will take care of it with minimal hassle. Unlike Wayne from what I've heard.

No way i would spend over $1000on a guitar these days. I would prefer to spend that money on timber and parts to build my own.

Years ago, I played a few Wayne guitars at the music zoo on long island. I thought they were pretty sweet guitars, but very pricy for what they were. I do like michael charvel's painjobs, but they too are pricier than most.

Yeah I gave him a shot at quoting my KV refin project, and he came in at 3X the quote of the other shop which I went with.
