I hit them up late last year about making a "Carvin" version of a Vinnie Vincent guitar just to have one! They were very accommodating about doing it but weren't interested in supplying a hardcase for it and that put me off!

Dear, (they didn't even put my name here )

Of course, we can make white/gold“Carvin" version of Vinnie’s guitar for you. As we are a guitar custom made shop, we can make guitars completely according to our customers' requirement.
About the white/gold“Carvin" version of Vinnie’s guitar , if using our Wilkinson pickups and hardware, the price of it we supply to you is:

      Guitar price: $525.00; Shipping cost: $145.00. <----- Aus dollars, so approx $US500 + $130

If you want to customize this guitar, we will not charge you more deposit, not like other custom shop, we only charge you $10, we will take detailed photos for you before shipping, if you agree with them above, pls send us your detailed shipping information, including your name, home address, phone number and so on, we will make a deposit bill for you, come on, let us start it now!

      Thanks

      June

Admittedly, it looks as though those Chinese companies do pack their goods very well. Thought about getting it with no hardware but with a Floyd route and the pins installed but then I couldn't be bothered buying it.

Yeah, I ordered a case but they told me they are "out of stock" and would have to make one and it would take awhile.
I'm really curious to learn what "awhile" is. They sent me finished photos of the guitar just one week after I ordered it.
I'm REALLY hoping they keep a few of these models in stock and they didn't REALLY build and finish my guitar in a week. lol
They also told me the guitar and case would have to ship separately.

Huh? Is that common? What do they ship the guitar in then?
          Jackson KV2
          Jackson KE1T
          Jackson KE1F
          Jackson SL1

If you look at the first YouTube video posted, you'll see that they pack the guitar really well.
I suppose with the way they pack it, it would be more suseptable to damage if it were shipped in a case where the guitar might move around a bit. I'm guessing their cases aren't all that well made but I just wanted to make sure I had something that fit the guitar.

Now wait just a gosh darn minute. Are you saying you can email them, give them your specs, have them build you a custom guitar to your exact specs without screwing them up and with the correct amount of frets and do it in just a few months ??? Maybe they could train the Jackson Custom Shop.

I can't stand these Chinese fakes. It's only a matter of time before someone on here gets burned, badly on a supposed 'custom shop' Jackson. It's already happening with fake les pauls.
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

Please understand it was never my intent to try to pass this off as Jackson.
I'll most likely refinish the headstock with a different name but I totally understand your concern.

Oh I know man. I've just seen too many (especially lps) that scammers are trying to pass off as the real deal. Wasn't implying you would do the same. \m/

Guy in Oz did that this week! Posted a CHibanez Jem 7 string on eBay with bids starting at $800 and buy at $2000. 3 suckers bid on it and it got to $850, so I reported it (was THAT an effort..."you have cookies turned off!" No I don't! Argh!) and it was gone that afternoon!

It was "Brand New, Never Used" but came with a second pickguard and pickups, as well as a genuine licenced Floyd Rose (he swapped the Edge for a crappola "Floyd"! WTF??? ) and no hardcase in sight!!!!

                      Effing douchebag!

I will say though, those guys in China will make a guitar anyway you want! You want an LP but with "Barry Browneye" rather then Gibson on the headstock, they'll do it!

Wow, I'm surprised by that video... Sort of an entry-level guitar custom shop, lol!

Okay, the Chinese Concorde arrived today.
I have to admit, I'm impressed with the whole transaction.
The guitar arrived just two weeks after ordering it.
Pictures were sent for approval prior to shipping, and despite the language barrier, they responded to all of my emails and were very accommodating.

The guitar itself is a lot better than I expected.
I think it will make for a very nice project.

Yeah me too, wanted to buy one just to hang on the wall cuz the original was so badass. Robbin had great taste in the 80s when everything was so over the top.
                                It's pronounced soops
