Yeah i will need to. The design wont chip away or turn to shit like a stain or paint would. It will be durable

Howcome you cut the body to shape before glueing it to the neck?, i would have thought it would be easier to clamp blocks to the neck blank, and then cut the body shape out in one go.

Also this means you dont have to get the body wings in the exact right place and surely rectangular blocks would be easier to clamp to the neck

when i cut the wings from the slab of wood i kept the offcuts to use as a clamping aid. This way i can work on them easily before it they get attached to the neck.

This is the truss rod it has. I wanted a double action but i couldn't find any in this size
