Love it with one exception. I think you should have continued the graphic onto the bevel. It looks a lil strange to me just "cut off" like that.
yeah thats what i would normally do but i decided i would leave them exposed. I could have continued them down the sides too but i wanted to show some wood.
Thanks brolaf. Its such a great guitar to play, the flat fretboard is everything i wished for and more. Seriously predictable and easy to play. I still need to sort out some minor fret buzz but other than that its a real winner.
Sweet. The Carvin DC800 I'm waiting on has a really flat 20" radius, and I can't wait to get it.
Yeh i can tell that thing is going to be a beast. Hardtail goodness in a nice blue. Only thing that its missing is a maple fretboard and creme pickups.
I might look at putting this gold gotoh i have in my carvin. Try it with out the locking nut might be ok if its a gotoh.
I circuled the area that i will need to remove for the gotoh to fit haha. Its the smallest amount of wood But the shit part is the cavity looks so neat i hate the thought of one part of it being a bit off. Might have to paint it.
I really thought about a maple board and black diamond inlays with a zebra or creme pickup, but I think the ebony and abalone diamonds fit in better for what I wanted right now.
I do have an '02 Carvin SC90 with maple board (when they still had satin finishes on them) but I will eventually get another Carvin with their tung oiled maple board.
Sucks you'd have to route a little on yours, but a little touch-up paint should help. That is such a killer guitar!
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I pulled it out yesterday and had a look over it. The bridge pickup has stopped working so there is a fault in the wiring now. The action is way too high and for some reason the floyd rose is bottomed out it the cavity. Not really sure whats going on with it, Maybe the non ofr posts are making it sit higher then it should be? Saddles aren't great but they're the same height as a ofr so action wise it should be similar. hmmmmmm it must be posts and saddles as they are the two things that have been replaced.
I think i mentioned that i got it foe $300 au which is a great price, It was listed as is with no tremolo. But i asked the seller if he had it and he gave me the baseplate/block - saddles and posts.
Not sure if its worth going down the gotoh road. Maye it would be wiser to wait and just get some new posts and saddles at some point. Man these life changing decisions are hard.
