I setup an SR300 for a friend. Nice bass, but the pots are REALLY cheap quality. I really had to work with them to get them crackle-free and to where they wouldn't cut out.
The one I setup is sparkle orange. Is that what yours is? -
Mine also had pots that had trouble & after blasting them out TWICE with Deoxit Fader F5 they're like new again..
MySR300 is red sparkle, close to the color of the picture..It is a great bass, I just put Flat Wounds on & it's setup 1/2 step down & sounds fantastic IMO.
BTW Chad I'm in Clarksville Indiana just across the river from Louisville KY..
Recently picked up a 1994 Rhoads Professional in the same Pawn Shop the Ibanez SR300 came from..
