Probably will.LOL
I almost pulled the trigger on an 81 Dean Z the other day.
Missed out on a 79 Dean explorer at the same time.
I miss my 81 Blue burst V a lot.
Before I would lay money down on a custom build I would buy one of the vintage USA ones.
Save money and have something that will always be worth more than a new one.Last edited by straycat; 03-28-2014, 07:56 PM.Really? well screw Mark Twain.

My girlfriend would love it!
That being said, I'm extremely curious to hear about a CS Dean. Hopefully I'll remember when it's done

MetalHeadMat if this Stealth turns out to be a chunk shit I'll send it to you to hang on your wall right along with that certificate.

I wish they would have done the matching headstock on these too.
I have a couple USA Deans, I really like the V neck profile.
Can't wait to see it when you get it.

I like that Stealth though. Might have to check one of those out.
STEALTH Floyd DS
• Flame Maple Top / Mahogany Body
• Matching Flame Veneer Headstock
• 24 - 3/4”Scale
• 1 - 11/16”Nut
• Set Mahogany V Neck
• Ebony Fingerboard
• Pearl Diamond / Razor 12th Inlays
• Grover Tuners
• Black Hardware
• Floyd Rose 1000 Bridge
• Seymour Duncan Dimebucker Bridge Pickup
• DMT Series DimeTime Neck Pickup
• Hardshell Case Included
• Finish: Dime Slime
If they make it with the same quality as the natural Stealth I have it's going to be a really cool guitar. Mine is surprisingly well made and sounds even better, it holds tune as well as any guitar I own, is heavier than you would think, and very easy to play. I am hoping they do release some versions of it as a USA model because I would love to own both Slime's.
The ML that I ordered is actually a signature series not so much an actual custom, the Dime Slime, and I think they kept the head stock black to have appear more of a classic. I saw this video which is actually showcasing their Roots ML at NAMM but my Dime Slime is underneath it and you can get a better look at it than the pics on their website.

I'd have to see one in person or real photos and play one first, I have to admit and have no problem doing so...I've become a USA snob
I haven't bought an import guitar in almost 10 years, but mainly like you mentioned, it's the weight that throws me off. For some reason I equate light with cheap.
But I will say, the EVH striped series is a solid import and I will be getting one of those soon. This is tempting too because for years Dean would not include an ebony board with a v profile on import guitars, that was reserved for the USA models.
Your natural Stealth does look great and I always wanted a slime, I love green guitars and only have 1...I DESPISE ROSEWOOD WITH A PASSION!!!

The MIM striped series. I've played a few and liked them.
I can't decide which color though, being a big Dime and Pittsburgh fan the Black-Yellow seems the logical choice, but I like top mount jacks and pickguards on strat shapes, so I'm kind of leaning white-black.I DESPISE ROSEWOOD WITH A PASSION!!!
