Just snagged this beauty last night. VERY excited to try it out but won't get it until a week from today. 
For those not familiar with Hamer Diablo's- typically, they were alder bodies with maple necks reversed head stocks and rosewood boards, 2 H or, in the case of the Diablo II's- HSH and non-reversed head stocks. Yes, the neck p'up is slanted by design and no, it serves no functional purpose that I'm aware of.
This one is a rare '94 custom order with red Duncans (JB and '59, an ebony board, a non-reversed head stock and the "boomerang" inlays.
