Almost new Carvin day...

Not here yet, but just got these pics sent to me. Blue mist metallic on mahogany top (over standard alder sides with maple neck), with pearl blue metallic on back (clear coat is matte satin instead of high gloss) .
One Duncan Nazgul pickup, one volume (push/pull coil split), abalone diamond inlays, abalone inlay on knob.
And, yes, it's got 8 strings...

Thanks. I had a hard time choosing which blue I wanted, so I figured the two-tone would work! It's a 27" scale, too.

LOL Thanks. Nothing against bass players. I've been playing 7-strings for awhile now, got an LTD 8-string on a whim a few months ago and really like it. Been wanting to order a new Carvin anyway and figured why not?

Yep, Op 50 for the pickup. I just bought the Duncan and sent it to them, and then I got told that they were working on their own passive 8 pickups right after that. Though, they said when they send the guitar, they'll also throw in their new pickup in the case for free, so I guess I can always check that out, too.
