Carvin does indeed make great guitars. I've got a 6-string and 7-string already, used to have 12-string and another 6, all fantastic.

Wow very nice one Toe and those wait times are very reasonable. Love the wood/color choices.
I am so tempted to get a 7 or 8 string right now but im afraid once I do my 6 strings will get neglected . Everyone I know that tries one is totally sold on them.

Thanks. I do seem to neglect the 6s now. Time to start selling off some stuff. Some guy actually wants to buy my LTD 8 this week, so we'll see how that goes. The LTD is cool, but it's 25.5" scale, so I think the Carvin will work better on the low F# with its 27" scale.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I'll give you a hint.

What don't you like about not having the locking nut? They do offer it as like a $30 option, I believe, but most people on their forum who have used them without the nut, don't really feel the need for it and think it stays in tune pretty well with just locking tuners and a headstock that's got straight string pull. I was thinking of ordering a DC125 with Floyd and not going with the nut. Of course, there are die-hards that can't use a Floyd without the locking nut.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I should just block the trem off. I bought a gold gotoh fr for it but the fucker didn't fit into the recessed fr original cavity.I could get the gotoh trem and locking nut to fit but i could never bring myself to touch it with the router.
