Kinda hit a wall as far as further progress goes. I can't spray until it finally decides to warm up a bit and the temps stay consistent. All I did this weekend is glue 5 more pieces together to make a control cavity cover, I'll take that out of the clamps tonight.

              ***Update***
So a few days ago I sprayed the top with a few layers of clear then let it hang and dry/harden in the garage. Today I went in and pulled her off the hook and am not really happy with the outcome. The flame and stain look "ok" but the top now has developed a couple cracks in it which I'm told is because there was not enough glue beneath them and the veneer contracted. The noticeable cracks are in the discolored lines of the wood that I thought were cool which is why I bought these pieces.

Since there was much finishing to do on the edges of the top I was going to feather the edges and go white all the way to the edge of the flame, should I just sand/level the clear then just do a Gas Monkey Special and just clear the whole thing to keep the relic look?

              Opinions please.......

I don't know much about finishing, but I think the relic look on that is definitely cool.

Ok, so I decided I can live with the cracks as they've gotten smaller as the paint got harder. So I am going to go ahead with the new coat of white, so she's all taped up. I even took the time to mask each individual letter of the "Eat Shit" graphic on the back so all the white paint will match up.

After spraying the white, I'll unmask the top and headstock and put a few more coats of high gloss clear.
                  .....Getting there......

Bottom coats of brilliant white gloss sprayed and drying.

Now to let it set up and harden a few days. Then block sand for a perfect smooth surface before a few generous coats of White Diamond Pearl Metallic Tintcoat before at least 3 coats of clear.
