    Who knows anything about these?
Nice guitar overall just don't know much about these.
The 220 assaults have 3 knobs and this has 4 and seems an older model.
Serial number starts with an S if that helps.

They made 2 versions, a "Standard" and a "Custom". Your pic is of a "Standard". First they were made in Korea(U Serial numbers, UnSung), Second version made in Indonesia, Third version made in China. You can tell the Korean versions by the Kramer logo on the headstock being a little lower between the tuners. If the logo sticks above the tuners, it's an Indonesian or Chinese one. The Korean ones are really good guitars. The Indonesian and Chinese ones are decent but the frets are smaller and fretwork not as good as on the Korean ones.

Here's a pic of a pair of mine. The red one I still own and is a Korean model. I bought a bunch of the Indonesian ones when they were blown out years ago and sold them off at a profit.

        Here's a webpage on them:

And by the way, the Korean ones came with real USA Gibson 498T/490R pickups. I put a Dimarzio Super Distortion and locking Sperzel tuners on mine.

          Thanks I appreciate the info.
I'm guessing this one is Indonesian because it has some age on it and 4 knobs all the newer ones have 3.
This came into my shop for a clean and set up.Pick ups sound OK,pots needed cleaning, remove DNA crud form the fingerboard etc.
Frets are way too tiny for me to be comfy playing this thing. Has a wandering intonation issue so I guess I'll have to take the bridge apart and go thru it.
Not bad build quality to be honest just quality hardware would have made these better.

Yeah, the Korean ones are the ones to have. Larger frets, better fretwork and better build quality. That's why I know to look for the Kramer logo lower on the headstock. I think I bought 6 or 7 of them when they were blown out dirt cheap. I was a little upset when they arrived and were made in Indonesia. This was probably about 8 or 9 years ago. I was originally planning to keep one of the trans-amber ones but didn't like the small frets and flipped them all.

The flame veneer is really vibrant which is nice.
The fret job was well done I will give them a nod for doing a great job building it.
The finish is very deep and its a great looking guitar.
Are these considered Music Yo Gibby Kramers?
