What's the deal on Peavey???

My peavey jsx and bandit are super good amps.

My 'main rig' was a Bandit 65 for 20+years.
I was always an fx guy, so I didn't need 'Marshall tone' or the warmth of tubes. I just needed a flat response, cold lifeless solid state circuits that provided enough volume for me to hear it over the drums.

Never liked their stuff other than the Vandenberg model guitar. The amps were not so great. Watched this episode of undercover boss, so sad for the people featured.

Are we all forgetting the 5150 amps(the originals, not the lower gain 6505 models) ? Great freaking amps. I sold off everything else and have 3 5150's.

The ONLY top quality stuff they've ever made IMO is the Vandenburg model (now the V-type) and some of their PA systems/power amps. Tommy D.

Around the same era they built some other top notch stuff including the Destiny, Odyssey, and G Ninety guitars, not to mention some very cool basses.

I have a Peavey Bravo 25 watt EL84 amp that just kicks ass!

I have two old school basses, a Sarzo and a TL-5. Both in mint condition and I would put'em up against most of the crap that's being trown out there on the market. BUT, there newer stuff,..... no thank ya.
