93 MIJ strat day

Picked this one up today in a Mom and POP music store.
Really a great player and sounds incredible.
Lots of player wear and cracks in the finish just the way I like them

I have one of it's cousins in daphne blue. The one I have has the standard strat setup; 5 way, one volume, two tone - is that pickguard stock?

Not sure on the pick guard I need to look that up but it does have the TBX tone pot as a master tone and it look original to the guitar.

Yes the pickguard is the original as is the TBX tone control.
The two singles are original but the humbucker is an old Duncan 59.
Had it apart today and fixed a few minor things.
May swap out the original tuners because they aren't that great but with a floyd nut thats really not an issue as far as tuning stability.
This guitar is a joy to play, the pick ups sing/lots of chime in the singles and major beef with the 59.
It may be the most resonant guitar I have at the moment.Thats a huge claim because I have some killer guitars.
If you get a chance to get one of these MIJ strats don't hesitate they are well worth it.

Gotta love the family shops. I always have time to investigate their inventory, you never know what you may find.

When I pick up used strats I usually sell them off pretty quickly but it would be hard to let this one go because it is that good.
Its not pretty and has its share of checks in the finish,dings and dents but it plays like a dream.
You know how it is when you pick up a guitar with old rusty strings and it still sounds good its coming home with you.

Looks good stray. I've been chasing old ghost forever and am try to branch out some, been looking at fender fenders lol
