First, does anyone know anything about these, other than what I can google? Like first hand knowledge. The USA ones, not the Korean models or the Chinese fakes.
The reason I ask...
I have someone (a local drunk that likes to flip units when he is sober enough to drive) that is offering me my choice of two in trade (my ad says that I will hear trade offers).
One is a 12 string and one is a 2007 6-string protoype of a model that didn't get produced -- which could be because the place burnt down, or simply because there are a lot of protos that don't get mass produced.
I am not looking for an acoustic, but...
If I wanted another acoustic, I would want it to be a decent one. And 12 strings are always interesting.
I only have $420 invested in my guitar (I got a good deal on a fixer upper that didn't need any real fixing). So, this is my chance to own a decent (allegedly) acoustic for very little money. But, if I decided to sell it, how easy would it be for me to move?
There's only been 4 completed on eBay all from the owner of the company selling his personal guitars and all sold to the same bidder -- plus I don't even have an account because I prefer to deal local and in cash.
I am leaning towards not doing it.
But if someone here tells me that they are the best guitar ever, that may change my opinion. I'd rather hear from someone that likes a 1986 Jackson Soloists who says that they have a similar feel, then from a Gibson or Martin player who has no clue what I like, or some acoustic luthier forum where they will talk about the quality of the neck joints and tonal bonuses of using wilted spruce over corco palm.
Any ideas?
